AWANA CrossTrainers at Pierre Indian Learning Center

Photo of PILC childrenCommunity Bible Church is now entering its ninth year of CrossTrainers at the Pierre Indian Learning Center.  The school has graciously allowed us to minister to the children in the first through fifth grades using an AWANA program called CrossTrainers.  This program provides Bible-based, Christ-center materials to share with the children.  The goal of the program is to introduce the children to Jesus Christ and encourage them to pursue living a life that is pleasing to God through Jesus.

The children are provided a "playbook" that contains a story, memory verse, and an activity.  We go through the playbook story as a group and then split into small groups to review the playbook lesson and memory verse.  These activities are then followed by some games in the gym to further build relationships with the children.

CrossTrainers meets on Saturday mornings from late October through April in the old gym at the Pierre Indian Learning Center.  Meetings last from 9:20 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.  Any believer who has a heart for children is invited to join us.  CrossTrainers is a wonderful opportunity to introduce the children to Jesus.

But Jesus said, "Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14
